Stripe to Begin Accepting Crypto Payments, Starting with USDC Stablecoin, After 6-Year Break

Stripe has announced that it will allow customers to accept cryptocurrency payments, starting with USDC stablecoins on Solana, Ethereum, and Polygon. This marks Stripe's return to crypto payments since 2018 when it dropped support for Bitcoin due to its volatility. The announcement was made by Stripe co-founder and President John Collison at the company's Connect developer conference.
