WSJ: Ex-FTX Europe Chief Spends $1.5M on Titanic-Recovered Gold Watch
Patrick Gruhn, former head of FTX Europe, has paid nearly $1.5 million for a gold pocket watch recovered from the body of John Jacob Astor IV, the richest passenger on the Titanic. Astor was returning from his honeymoon when the ship sank in 1912. Astor's body was found with the watch, cuff links, a diamond ring, and a gold pencil.
