Juan Sartori, a Uruguayan senator, has drafted a bill with the aim of enabling businesses to take payments in the form of crypto.
Along with allowing these payments, the bill would ensure that crypto was well-regulated and legally recognised. Amongst other things, this would involve adding digital assets to the list of permissible payments in the Law of Financial Inclusion.
Beyond this, there would be three different types of licenses issued for companies involved in the crypto sphere. One would be concerned with transactions, another with the holding of crypto assets, and the third with the issuing of tokens.
