EtherRocks, digital pet rocks that were launched back in 2017, have started selling for upwards of $100K.
The rocks were one of the first NFTs to be issued on the Ethereum blockchain. They are identical except for their colour, and only 100 of them exist.
As they are all currently owned, some are being put on NFT marketplaces at extortionate prices. Recently one rock sold for 45 ETH, and another is up for resale at a cost of $1.9B.
