AMC Entertainment, a US cinema operator, has revealed its intentions to allow customers to pay for online tickets in BTC by 2022.
Adam Aron, CEO and chairman of the company, suggested that AMC would endeavour to have the infrastructure in place to permit such payments by the end of 2021. Aron highlighted customer demand as the reason behind the manoeuvre.
Beyond crypto, AMC has plans to open several more cinemas throughout the US, Europe and the Middle East in the coming year.
