2022-10-01 01:39:19 MMX Node Testnet7 is now finaly here!

New features are:
- New GUI
- Faster Timelords with SHA-NI instruction set (helps on verify too)
- Mnemonic seed words (even for existing wallets)
- Optional wallet passphrase to improve security (only for new wallets)
- New trade offer system based on smart contracts (locks bid into contract, to prevent market manipulation)
- Failed transactions are now included in the blockchain, similar to ETH (to prevent denial of service attacks)
- Improved TX relay algorithm to prevent network overload (similar to TCP but on application layer)
- Transactions are now validated before relaying (to prevent denial of service attacks)
- Removed RocksDB dependency
- Lots of smaller improvements / features

Note: Your wallet addresses will be different now, however farmer / pool keys are still the same. (Make sure to update any addresses set in config/local/ or in GUI settings)

Note: In case you missed it, timelords are now 5-8 times faster than before, so your VDF verify times will increase as well and might not be fast enough anymore. Open / Comment

2022-08-22 21:57:27 An incentivized testnet8 is planned for October, since more time is needed to test the virtual machine and smart contracts. The coins farmed will translate to mainnet 1-to-1, however the min block reward will be lower (0.2 MMX instead of 0.5 MMX). The rewards will be tied to your reward address used at the time, so you need to keep (and backup) the associated wallet seed. testnet8 will also see a new wallet format, with mnemoic seed words and HD-wallet style key derivation from bitcoin. BLS farmer/pool keys are unchanged of course, only your MMX addresses will change for the same wallet seed. Open / Comment
