Aave is considering deploying an MVP of Aave version 3 on Polygon's upcoming zkEVM Layer 2 network, according to a proposal from its integrations lead. The proposal aims to establish Aave's presence on the new network and reduce risk by limiting asset onboarding and setting conservative risk parameters. The zkEVM is expected to support the same code as Ethereum, allowing developers to onboard apps from Ethereum and use them on the zkEVM network without significant changes. Aave has a track record of working with core teams to implement its lending protocol, including on the Polygon network in 2021.
