Uniswap Labs is attempting to launch a mobile crypto wallet for iPhone users, however, it has not yet been approved by Apple. The delay raises concerns about Apple's hardline approach to regulating crypto companies' access to iOS. As a decentralized exchange (DEX), it's unclear if Uniswap could ever meet Apple's "approved exchange" criteria, as Apple has banned crypto trading apps that don't use an "approved exchange." Uniswap's non-custodial crypto wallet app includes a swap feature that routes trades through its permissionless DEX, which may present regulatory challenges. Uniswap Labs plans to release the app to 10,000 users via the TestFlight beta platform to show Apple its service is safe.
