Crypto speak: Bitcointalk

Bitcointalk is the world’s most popular Bitcoin forum, where crypto enthusiasts discuss the world’s predominant cryptocurrency.

Although the forum was founded in 2009, it is still the most popular Bitcoin discussion forum where you can find thousands of threads.

A couple of facts:

1. The forum was created by Satoshi Nakamoto.
2. Bitcontalk is considered the place to be if you want a true feel of the old school spirit of cryptocurrency.

Satoshi Nakamoto is back?

An account called Satoshi Nakamoto, who made posts about Bitcoin back in 2018, is back on Twitter.

Now "Satoshi" has made a tweet about exploring various aspects of Bitcoin itself that were not included in the official documents when it was released.

The tweet has already garnered 1.9 million views, and many people think this is the real Satoshi.

As far as I'm concerned, there is a clear trickery going on here and it's a fake Satoshi, but what's interesting is that a lot of big people are subscribed to this account. And even the exchange ByBit.

Crypto speak: Lovelace

One of the most romantic and original terms in crypto, “Lovelace” is the smallest denomination of Cardano’s native cryptocurrency, ADA.

0.000001 ADA = Lovelace.

The name “Lovelace” pays homage to Ada Lovelace, a gifted mathematician and the first programmer. On December 10, 1815, Ada Lovelace was born in London, England. In 1833, Lovelace and Charles Babbage were introduced, with the latter creating the differential and analytical engines, the first two classes of engines.

Crypto speak: JOMO

This is the direct opposite of FOMO, fear of missing out. JOMO stands for “joy of missing out,” which is when you rejoice in the possibility of missing out.

It sounds paradoxical, but zen crypto enthusiasts know this feeling: When everyone gives in to suspect FUD and FOMO, which eventually leads to poor decisions, a person with JOMO looks on with a smile from the sidelines and stays on course with a sense of control.

And, of course, afterwards, they get even more pleasure when they see that the crowd was wrong and lost money (classic schadenfreude). After all, most decisions made under the influence of FOMO and FUD turn out to be harmful and ineffective.

Crypto speak: Candlesticks

Nothing complicated here: It’s just a way to visualize the price chart of a particular coin.

You’ve probably seen candlesticks: They’re those green and red bars on price charts. Green bars mean a rise in price; red bars mean a fall. Sometimes, traders simply call these bars “candlesticks.”
