Take the case of A, a citizen in their thirties. It all started innocently with a text message from their bank about an unfamiliar payment.
Concerned, A called the number provided. Little did A know that the person on the other end was a clever imposter,
claiming to be from a shopping center's customer service. They urged A to contact the esteemed Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) for assistance. Soon enough, A received a call from someone posing as an "FSS employee," advising them to install an app to track down the culprits behind this alleged credit card theft.
But alas, this app turned out to be nothing more
than a sneaky diversion tactic. When A dialed their local prosecution service, another fraudster answered, demanding that A buy crypto coins as "proof" of being scammed.
