Large movements of XRP have continued to be recorded lately.

As interest in Ripple’s On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) increases, there has been a large movement of multimillion-dollar XRP transfers this month.

The funds have flowed around popular cryptocurrency exchanges, including selected members of Ripple’s ecosystem Bitso and Bitstamp, as well as unknown wallets.

Cryptocurrency whale tracking service Whale Alert has shared developments about hundreds of millions of XRP movements involving unknown wallets and cryptocurrency exchanges since the beginning of this week.

Over the last 24 hours, the popular cryptocurrency whale tracking service reported that a total of 595,256,914 (595.26 million) XRP coins had been transferred between exchanges and unknown wallets.

Following Paxos’s run-in with the SEC over its BUSD stablecoin, decentralized protocol Aave is poised to pass a proposal to freeze BUSD on its platform.

The proposal suggests Aave switch to a different stablecoin.

The SEC issued a Wells notice, which typically precedes enforcement actions, to Paxos, according to recent reports. The regulator alleges BUSD is an unregistered security.

“The inability to mint new BUSD might hurt peg arbitrage opportunity and asset peg,” the Aave proposal reads. “It seems that the most reasonable path for Aave is to freeze this reserve and invite users to switch to another stablecoin among the diversity present in Aave.”

The proposal, introduced Monday, was written by two delegates: the Aave-Chan initiative and Marc Zeller of Aave DAO.

“On a more general level, BUSD is one of the smallest Aave stablecoin reserves,” Zeller told Blockworks. “So the impact on overall Aave liquidity is minimal.”

Zeller’s efforts come as regulation continues to heat up in the US. After a slew of enforcement actions and settlements in recent weeks, the industry is left wondering what is next for stablecoins and staking products.

The proposal says “there’s no real prospect of growth” for BUSD, adding that the stablecoin’s circulating supply will “eventually go toward zero.” Open / Comment

Analyst punk9059 pointed out that the quantity of BAYC that Machi recently sold was purchased from other investors only three days ago, and his wallet still has more than 100 BAYC. Investors that purchase BAYC from Machi immediately “transfer” to others with the primary goal of being active on Blur.

Crypto fans have cumulatively spent $280,000 in transaction fees to mint more than 28,000 Coinbase NFTs on Ethereum. The NFTs were available to be minted for free for those who wanted to mark the testnet launch of Coinbase's Layer 2 network, Base.

Coinbase introduced Base today as a Layer 2 network set to run on top of the Ethereum mainnet. It's built on Optimism's OP Stack and will be part of its "Superchain" — a name given to the Layer 2 networks built on the OP Stack that are compatible with each other.

Base will be a network for other protocols to build on top of and it will interact with Coinbase's product suite, but it won't have a token.

To mark the network's launch, Coinbase created a free mint NFT. The NFTs can be minted for four days following the announcement and are on the Ethereum mainnet. They appear to be identical and show a blue circle.

Music streaming Spotify is testing a new service called "token-enabled playlists," which allows holders of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to connect their wallets and listen to curated music.

Currently, the service is available to token holders within the Fluf, Moonbirds, Kingship and Overlord communities. The curated playlists will be actively updated during the three-month testing period and can only be accessed by community members via a unique link.

Web3 gaming and media universe Overlord tweeted on Wednesday that holders of its lizard-themed Creepz NFT project can connect their Web3 wallet on Spotify to access the project's community-curated "Invasion" playlist.

Overlord tweeted that the pilot is currently only available for Android users in the U.S., U.K., Germany, Australia and New Zealand.

Spotify appeared to confirm the details in tweet reply.
