Addressable, a decentralized marketing startup, has raised $7.5 million in its seed round to tackle the current marketing woes in the Web3 area. The company claims its software can pair the onchain addresses of users with their social accounts, giving Web3 marketers more knowledge about their audiences to make efficient advertising campaigns in the crypto sector.

Marketing agencies have had a difficult time advertising Web3 products to their audiences due to the lack of insight they have into these services. Addressable, a software startup, has raised $7.5 million in its seed round on the claims that it might have the solution to this problem. The round, which had the support of Viola Ventures, Fabric Ventures, Mensch Capital Partners, and North Island Ventures, banks on the capabilities of Addressable’s software.

The company claims that it can pair the onchain addresses of users with their social media profiles, making marketers capable of getting key data on their potential target audiences. This data can help them to design specialized campaigns to entice a certain kind of Web3 audience, and then point these to their social profiles on platforms like Twitter.

The new class-action lawsuit aims to help BAYC and APE buyers get compensation from Yuga Labs due to the firm allegedly misleading investors.

Troubled cryptocurrency fintech Yuga Labs is about to face more lawsuits in relation to its nonfungible tokens (NFT) collection, Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), and other projects.

Rosen Law Firm, a global law firm focused on investor rights’ protection, announced on Jan. 30 that it’s planning to file a class action lawsuit against Yuga Labs.

Rosen invited purchasers of Yuga securities — including BAYC NFTs and the native token ApeCoin — to join the class action against Yuga by the lead plaintiff deadline set for Feb. 7.

The law firm emphasized that Yuga securities’ investors who bought BAYC and APE between April 23, 2021, and Dec. 8, 2022, may be entitled to compensation without payment of any additional costs through a contingency fee arrangement.

A firm that was building out a nuclear energy-powered mining facility in Ohio is the latest victim of tough crypto market conditions.

UK-based Lake Parime, a company focused on transforming energy into zero-carbon computing power, has been acquired by Statar Mining.

The group’s recently-acquired bitcoin mining hardware decreased in value as bitcoin prices fell, according to restructuring specialist Interpath Advisory. Interpath’s Ed Boyle and Will Wright became joint administrators to Lake Parime Limited on Jan. 27.

A number of projects Lake Parime had invested in “fell away,” according to Interpath, leaving the company in “an immediate cash crisis.”

A solvent solution could not be found, the advisory firm added. As a result of the sale to Statar Mining, 16 Lake Parime employees have joined the acquirer.

Next 5-10 years are probably your last opportunity to make x100-x1000 in the Crypto market.

What can I (and you) do here:

use 10-20% of monthly income to buy crypto: BTC, ETH or DCA into stablecoins and find yourself a safe platform which will grow that supply

invest into infrastructural blockchain project with actively developing ecosystems

In my blog I will try to simplify as much as I can from my education in investing and 7+ years of experience in crypto.

2023-01-28 12:00:10Experts named the best video cards for mining in 2023

The crypto industry faced serious difficulties last year, which was due to the unfavorable macroeconomic environment and turmoil in the digital asset segment. However, the situation began to gradually stabilize, and there are new promising assets that operate on the PoW algorithm. WEPC representatives have released a list of several video cards that will be a great choice for mining in 2023.

In first place was the RTX 2070 Super. This video chip is not far behind in terms of performance from RTX 2080 TI, but costs significantly cheaper. At the same time under load the video card consumes no more than 215 W, which will be a great help for any miner.

Next comes GTX 1660 TI, which experts have called a kind of balance between price and performance. The performance of this chip in a mining environment remains stable, while the power consumption does not exceed 120W.

2023-01-26 14:00:10Porsche Hits Brakes on NFT Mint After Backlash

Porsche is halting the mint of its first non-fungible token (NFT) collection, the German sports car manufacturer announced on Twitter, after receiving negative feedback from its community.

“Our holders have spoken. We’re going to cut our supply and stop the mint to move forward with creating the best experience for an exclusive community,” said the project’s official Twitter account, claiming that more information is coming later in the day.

The mint opened on Monday morning, with each NFT – a digital replica of its iconic 911 model – priced at 0.911 ether (ETH), or about $1,490 each. In the hours following, criticism of the collection mounted on Twitter, with creators and collectors sharing their thoughts on the company racing into a Web3 strategy without considering the overall state of the NFT market.

Of the 7,500 tokens available, only 1,818 were minted at the time of writing. The project fared worse on secondary marketplaces such as OpenSea, with NFTs selling for below the mint price – meaning, it was cheaper to buy the NFT at resale than mint an original.

As of Tuesday afternoon, it appeared the mint was still open, which further inflamed the NFT community.

2023-01-21 14:45:00Maple Finance records a loss of $7M at end of 2022

Institutional crypto lending protocol Maple Finance has reported a net loss of about $7 million at the end of the fourth quarter of 2022 as it moves to close its lending pools on Solana.

Maple Finance was launched in May 2021 as a decentralized credit market for institutional borrowers and lenders. Since its inception, the lending protocol has offered over $1.9 billion in corporate loans.

However, the ripple effect of the prolonged bear market and FTX collapse has affected borrowers’ appetite for its loan offerings.

In Maple’s Q4 2022 Treasury report, the lending protocol disclosed that it originated about $87 million across 23 new loans, which is down by 67% compared to its record of $262 million in the third quarter. As a result, Maple closed the fourth quarter with total active liquidity of $58 million, as against $326 million when the quarter began.

Over the reporting period, Maple recorded a revenue of about $310,092, while its expenses stood at roughly $3.57 million.

Furthermore, Maple incurred a loss of $151,933 from its M11 Credit Pool due to Orthogonal Trading’s insolvency. As reported on Dec. 5, Maple severed business ties with Orthogonal Trading as the lending delegate was reportedly insolvent, leading to an expected loss of roughly $3 million

The Q4 report added that since Maple’s inception, its revenue-to-date stood at $5 million, while its expenses totaled $12.1 million. Consequently, the crypto lender recorded a net loss of approximately $7 million by the end of 2022.

In efforts to cut operating costs, Maple said it will suspend all lending pools on Solana and reduce its quarterly expenses from about $2.4 million to $1.2 million.

With approximately $6.1 million in its Treasury, Maple said it will work to increase its runway up to 16 months in a zero-revenue environment.
