Social network Parler announces NFT collection with Donald Trump
Social network Parler and artist John McNaughton will launch a joint collection of non-transferable tokens (NFT) featuring images of former U.S. President Donald Trump.
Pre-sales of tokens from the Trump Legacy collection will begin Jan. 20. Applications for the whitelist are being accepted through Jan. 19.
The first part contains 10,000 NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. Each token is worth 0.1 ETH (about $330 at the time of writing).
"The historical NFT collection highlights former President Donald Trump in countless circumstances that capture the essence of his presidency, using symbolic images with serious undertones," the press release reads.
In June 2021, Trump said that bitcoin looked like a rival scam to the dollar. In September, the former U.S. president called investing in cryptocurrency an "anticipated disaster.
