From the Indo Latvian Chamber of Commerce to the Euro-Asia IT HUB
I have been associated with the Indo-Latvian Chamber of Commerce for over 10 years now. For most of that time, I have been a member of the board of the chamber commerce and for a couple of years, I was its chairman.
The main function of the chamber of commerce is to establish trading and cultural relations between our two countries: Latvia and India. During this time we have held many cultural events and business meetings with entrepreneurs from both countries.
My main contribution to the Chamber has been to strive to create a transit bridge (hub) in Latvia between India, Europe, and the countries of the former Soviet Union. The reason behind this is that the port of Riga has one of the best strategic locations on the Baltic coast for the transit of goods to these regions.
Thanks to the endeavors of the Indo-Latvian Chamber of Commerce's members, today's transport and transit companies for transshipment, storage, and distribution of goods from India successfully operate in the port of Riga and other Latvian ports.
During the last three years, I was actively involved in doing business with IT technologies and blockchain solutions - I had a plan to create a company that would have the same idea globally as if was an IT hub (transit bridge) in the field of IT development. And thus the Euro-Asia IT HUB was born, which brings together programmers and developers of IT solutions from Europe and India.
There are about 5 000 000 different kinds of IT developers in India today and the basic idea of the Euro-Asia IT HUB project is to offer European customers the services of Indian programmers and developers, where European customers get these solutions at better prices and Indian developers can sell their services more efficiently. It's a win-win formula.
Sounds elementary, right? But in reality, it's just not that simple. The main reason why European companies do not want to work with Indian IT vendors is the huge difference in attitude when it comes to deadlines, quality of work (i.e. the purity of code where the phrase "Bad Indian Code" is widespread), and communication difficulties as not all Indian programmers can speak English.
But in my opinion, the thing that annoys the European customers is that Indian developers tend to agree to everything without fulfilling their obligations. The Euro-Asia IT HUB idea was born based on the above-mentioned difficulties. After all, where there is a solution to a problem, there is an opportunity for profit!
Thus, the Euro-Asia IT HUB has taken on the function of selecting the best available IT developers to create their own team and offer the services of Indian IT companies and freelance developers to European clients. Euro-Asia IT HUB acts as an intermediary and guarantor of quality work of Indian IT developers.
