The popularity of Shiba Inu (SHIB) and other meme cryptocurrencies had appeared to fade in recent months aligning with the extended depressed markets. However, the latest data shows that a section of investors are likely betting on the token, with the number of addresses hitting a new milestone. As of September 12, the total number of SHIB holders stood at 1,221,112, growing by 40,033 in three months.

After the number of addresses plunged in early August, the figure has steadily surged adding about 16,876 holders over the last month. The growing number of SHIB holders correlates with the asset’s price, which has spiked over the three months. As reported by Crypt Eye, the number of Shiba Inu tokens burned by the end of the week amounted to 272.2 million SHIB. Taking into account the current token price of $0.000013, this figure is equivalent to $3,505. Given the pace of September, where only a quarter of a million SHIB are burned in a quarter of a month, the result can be expected to be two or more times worse at the end of the month.

Shiba Inu has grown a lot since last year, and its price significantly increased during its first year. The market capitalization of the cryptocurrency Shiba Inu (SHIB) is $6.7 billion. The coin was created by the anonymous user or group known as Ryoshi and is the 14th largest token. Indian-based cloud security firm ' PingSafe' reported that they discovered a leaked Shiba.

The leaked AWS credentials severely exposed the company’s data hosted on the Amazon web service. Pingsafe noted the credential was leaked in committing AWS infrastructure keys on a public GitHub repository (now removed) by one of Shiba’s internal developers. Additionally, the research team also perform some basic tests like listing users of AWS accounts, called List Instances API request, that were able to successfully fetch the instances running in the account.
