During the pandemic retail investors flooded the stock market. The total share of retailers rose up to 20%. There appeared a force that couldn't be ignored

This is what happened as the result:

2 months ago the u/runoron subreddit started fighting against big players who are killing business.

The GME stock pump generated the largest turnover on the market (23.6 billion US-listed shares changed hands).

Other stocks did not stand aside: AAL, AMC, BB, BBY, CTRM, EXPR, GME, KOSS, etc.

Broker Robinhood has stopped trading on trending stocks. Interactive brokers, TDAmeritrade and Schwab, did the same.

The fact that brokers took the side of funds, not clients, caused wild indignation on Twitter.

Robinhood started to automatically close long positions of its clients.

Due to the closing of trading on trending stocks, the community switched to the crypto market, DOGE token made x8.

Affected funds: Melvin Capital Management, Maplelane Capital, Citron, D1 Capital Partners, etc.

What conclusion can we draw from these events?
