* TSLA and TSLA-0930 will be renamed to TSLAPRE and TSLAPRE-0930

On August 25, 2022 at 7am UTC:
* New TSLA/USD, TSLA/DOGE, TSLA/BTC and TSLA-0930 markets, representing the postsplit amounts, will go live
* FTX will automatically convert TSLAPRE-0930 positions and TSLAPRE balances into TSLA-0930 and TSLA balances at a 3:1 rate
* TSLAPRE-0930 and TSLAPRE/USD markets will be de-listed

2022-08-18 20:16:30 Updates to margin contribution for select underlyings

Starting on Monday, August 22nd, 2:00pm EST, we will be updating the IMF weights and start slowly increasing the MMF weights of the following underlyings: TRYB, LEO, HNT, POLIS, ATLAS, THETA, SCRT, COMP, RUNE, TOMO, BAT, KNC, BADGER, COPE, BAO, SXP.

This will increase the margin requirements for both futures and spot positions. The changes to IMF weight will affect opening new positions, while MMF weight will impact the margin required to maintain existing positions.

To minimize the impact on users’ existing positions, we will be linearly decaying MMF weight from the current to the final weights over the course of a week, aiming to complete the update on Monday, August 29th, 2:00pm EST.

2022-08-18 07:31:13 Special Dividend of AMC Preferred Equity Units

AMC is undergoing a special dividend of one AMC Preferred Equity unit.

FTX will treat this special dividend as a cash dividend marked to the closing price of APE on the first day of trading (August 22, 2022). This cash dividend will be paid out to users within 7 days after APE is listed. AMC balances used to calculate the dividend will be snapshotted at 4am ET August 22nd.

AMC-0930 will settle to the 1-hour TWAP of the FTX AMC/USD spot index over the hour before expiration plus the closing price of APE on the first day after trading (August 22, 2022). The FTX AMC future index will be updated to reflect this.

2022-08-15 12:58:17 What happens to ETH after the Merge?

Following our response to the Merge announcement, please see the below for more details.

* After the Merge, that could take place in Q3/Q4 2022, one or more forks could emerge.

* FTX will evaluate the distribution of the forked tokens. If FTX decides to distribute the forked tokens, borrowers of ETH will be charged forked token(s) based on their FTX ETH balance, as of the fork snapshot.

* If FTX decides to distribute forked tokens, we will distribute the tokens after the project has completed.

* FTX will evaluate the listing of forked tokens at a later date.

* The “ETH” ticker will be used for ETH PoS after the Merge.

2022-08-09 07:19:14 FTX's response to the Merge

The Merge is scheduled to happen in Q3/Q4 2022. The current Ethereum Mainnet will merge with the Beacon Chain proof of stake system.

FTX does not have any plans to halt or settle ETH futures prior to the Merge, and we will do our best to support continuous trading. Ethereum futures and perpetual contracts (ETH-0930, ETH-1230, ETH-PERP) on FTX will track the proof of stake Ethereum after the Merge. More details will be provided.
