Due to sanctions imposed on Russia a number of large crypto miners as Compass Mining Inc. , SBI Holdings et al. are forced to sell all they “rigs” in Siberia with a capital loss.
Meanwhile the cost of crypto mining in this region has become as low as possible. Crypto farms are supplied electricity generated by power plants burning associated petroleum gas (APG) and it costs nothing for miners.
Taking into account the Russian oil producers request for higher flaring allowan
ce no wonder the APG-miners make hay while the sun shines.
