Initially, everybody waited for Elon Musk to appear on Saturday Night Live (SNL) comedy show, which was announced before. Elon mentioned #Dogecoin on SNL and called himself "Dogefather". Then $DOGE dumped -30% (!!!) and the price declined to less than $0.45.

Then he tweeted that “SpaceX launching satellite Doge-1 to the moon next year. Mission paid for in Doge. 1st crypto in space. 1st meme in space.” That news helped the price to recover and now it’s about +12% more than $0.50. “Elon is brilliant. He knows he’s gonna tank $DOGE on SNL. Buys the dip. Pumps it back up. And around and around we go.” - that was what Dave Portnoy tweeted on Elon Musk yesterday.
