For 4 years, Google blocked ads related to cryptocurrencies. From August 3, 2021, the search engine will enable the promotion of cryptocurrency exchange services and a digital wallet for users from the United States.
According to the statement, advertisers must meet the established requirements and be certified by Google. To do this, they must either be registered with FinCEN as a Billing and Cash Services (MSB) company or have a banking license in at least one of the states.
Under the ban will remain:
initial coin offering (ICO);
DeFi protocol services;
promotion of cryptocurrencies by celebrities;
pages with summary data or benchmarking of digital assets.
