MTV adds the 'Best Metaverse Performance' award category to its list of competition.The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), scheduled to take place on August 28, have introduced a new category that will recognize artists in the web3.
There are a total of six artists up for nomination, including the Rift Tour featuring Ariana Grande (Fortnite); Blackpink's "The Virtual" (PUBG Mobile); BTS (Youtube); Charli XCX (Roblox); Justin Bieber (Interactive Virtual Experience).
Voting is now closed, but we look forward to finding out the winner that had the best performance and taking home the 1st Best Metaverse Performance award.
