Solana-based nonfungible tokens (NFTs) recorded an all-time sales volume of over $5 billion after an uptick in NFT trading activity on the blockchain in the last four months. On Feb. 23, data aggregator CryptoSlam showed that the all-time sales volume for NFTs based on the Solana network is already at $5,013,847,972. The data also shows that the blockchain has over 2.2 million buyers and 1.6 million sellers.

The ticketing arm of the United States-based sports magazine Sports Illustrated announced it is moving its nonfungible token (NFT) ticketing platform called “Box Office” from the Polygon blockchain to Avalanche almost 10 months after its launch. A high-value NFT trader has just realised a $13 million profit after selling 10 early Ethereum NFTs they bought three years prior. The pseudonymous trader, who goes by the name OldSchoolCollection on NFT marketplace OpenSea, bought 10 NFTs from the Autoglyphs collection for a combined $1.4 million in February 2021. Today, OldSchoolCollection sold the same 10 Autoglyphs for 5,000 Ether — worth around $14.5 million — to a private collector via NFT brokerage platform Fountain.
