Axie Infinity Hacked….Again

The beloved Axie Infinity, which was still recovering from a Ronin bridge hack earlier this year that took $625 million, was hacked again. Except this time it was their social media site which was inundated with false announcements.

The blame was placed on a MEE6 bot which was installed on Axie’s main Discord server. This bot became compromised and added fake permissions to a fake Jiho account, after which fake announcements were made. One user claims that their NFT and domain were already stolen before the attack was fixed and the MEE6 bot removed.
