A Canadian start-up has claimed they are partnering with SpaceX to launch a digital billboard IN SPACE on which anyone can purchase tokens for ad space with cryptocurrencies, potentially including Dogecoin. (Insider)

Geometric Energy Corporation (GEC) CEO Samuel Reid said he is “trying to achieve something that can democratize access to space and allow for decentralized participation. Hopefully, people don’t waste money on something inappropriate, insulting or offensive.”

The ads themselves won’t be visible by the naked eye, but images will be sent back of the ad with the earth in the background. SpaceX are yet to comment on the apparent link-up.

Gunmen unleashed a volley of bullets on 19-year-old Wesley Pessano Santarem as he drove through the Brazilian city of Sao Pedro da Aldeia in his Porsche Boxter.

Video footage caught the aftermath of the daylight shooting showing Wesley motionless in the driver’s seat with his white t-shirt soaked in blood.

The murder comes as Brazil’s gangs are targeting so called “Insta-bragging,” Bitcoin traders and social media influencers who flaunt their wealth on sites like Instagram and TikTok.

Police have apprehended the murderers, but not released their identities to the public.

While Amazon recently shut down rumors about accepting cryptocurrencies, Xiaomi picked up the slack.

Mi Store Portugal, the official retailer of the Chinese tech behemoth, recently moved to enable cryptocurrency payments.

It is now possible to buy smartphones, vacuum cleaners, smartwatches, electric scooters and other Xiaomi devices with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether and Dash.

In order to add support for digital assets, Xiaomi has partnered with Swiss cryptocurrency payment service provider Utrust, whose native token is also accepted by Mi Store Portugal.

Details are emerging of what was recovered when authorities raided the location of a Libertarian built Bitcoin economy, in Keene, New Hampshire March this year, The Verge reports.

Bitcoin aficionado Ian Freeman’s home was raided by federal agents who seized: $180,000 in cash, a 100oz Swiss silver bar (worth roughly $3,000), a platinum coin stamped with a portrait of Ron Paul. There were boxes full of gold-laced bills, but the biggest prize was two Casascius physical Bitcoins, worth 100 and 1 BTC respectively, first available in 2011 and now worth more than $4 million.

Freeman was arrested for alleged money laundering among other crimes. As far as authorities were concerned, it was all part of an unlicensed money transmittal scheme processing millions of dollars a year.
