2022-12-30 22:37:17 Wondering why BTC is still red when it’s purpose of existence was exactly what’s happening yet again

firm believer here. Since it’s birth rightfully happened as a consequence of the financial crisis, I don’t get why BTC is still moving like the common market.
I know the whole world is on fire with COVID, wars and governments printing money like there’s no tomorrow. But when I see the stock market crashing I always have the hope that BTC moves independently since it’s a whole different ball game.
I mean everyone who understands Bitcoin (compared to many here I’m still a rookie) wouldn’t be so stupid to gamble or yet short it. I know everyone got their shy which would make you sell some. But unlikely during a bear.

So it would be nice to enlighten me if it’s still a question of adoption or what has to happen for the baby to become an adult.

I heard it on the BBC (radio 4) the other day and just checked it out. Found this site[1\]. I guess there are others. If you want to listen to the BBC prog I heard it on then it's here[2\].

2022-12-30 05:37:23 Those adopting Bitcoin as money the most are those hurt bad by fiat inflation. Nigeria, Turkey, Argentina, etc. People don't learn until they're personally affected.

2022-12-30 03:37:22 I apologize in advance if this is too much of rudimentary question for some, but what is to stop BTC from being replaced by another version of it with better smart contract features and faster transaction times? Assuming it’s not corp owned, 100% decentralized, & no majority coin holders.

*Thank you all for your input! I’ve read every single one and I’ve learned a lot. Apologies if I wasn’t able to reply to all of you, but be assured I read all of them. I feel much better about BTC.
