Popular cryptanalytic sites have been subjected to a phishing attack

Cryptocurrency websites Etherscan, CoinGecko, DeFi Pulse and others have reported cases of malicious pop-ups offering users to connect their MetaMask wallets.

The phishing attack comes from a domain displaying the logo of the NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club.

At the time of publication, the site linked to the domain has already been disabled.

"The situation is most likely caused by a malicious Coinzilla advertising script. We turned it off," said CoinGecko founder Bobby Ong.

In a tweet, Etherscan urged users not to confirm any transactions that appear on the website.

Do Kwon proposed a plan to restore the Terra ecosystem

Terraform Labs founder Do Kwon has published a plan to save the Terra ecosystem.

The Kwon plan states that it is now extremely necessary to completely restart the Terra blockchain, while the ownership of the network is fully distributed between UST and LUNA holders through the issuance of 1 billion new tokens.

It is proposed to distribute tokens as follows: 40% — to coin holders at the time of untying UST from the dollar; 40% — to UST holders at the time of network renewal; 10% — to LUNA holders at the time of network shutdown; 10% — to the project development fund.

Kwon himself stated that he did not sell Luna and UST against the background of the crisis.

At the time of writing, UST is trading at $0.15, and Luna is trading at 0.0002.

GAM Holdings denied information about the company's participation in the rescue of UST

Asset manager GAM Holdings has denied information that he is negotiating with Terraform Labs to allocate funds to support the algorithmic UST stablecoin.

"This story is not true, and GAM did not issue a press release. GAM strictly controls the distribution of press releases. We are investigating who issued the statement and how it was published," the company said on its official website.

Earlier it was reported that the company is ready to allocate $ 2-$3 billion to absorb the excess supply of UST to restore its peg to the US dollar.

The USDX stablecoin based on the Kava Network has lost its binding to the US dollar

The decentralized USDX stablecoin based on the Kava Network has lost its binding to the US dollar.

According to CoinGecko, the capitalization of the stablecoin is $115 million.

The USDX fell to almost $0.55, but later rose to $0.65.

The reasons why the asset has lost its peg to the dollar are unknown.

Unlike algorithmic stablecoins like UST, USDX can be minted in the form of a loan secured by collateral reserves.

The developers reported that USDX lost its binding due to UST, since UST accounted for part of the USDX backup.

According to Scott Stewart, co-founder and CEO of Kava Labs, USDX will return to binding because it is not an algorithmic token like UST.

"USDX is not UST. As soon as UST exits the system, it is expected that USDX will return to its binding," Stewart added.

Celsius crypto Lending Service withdrew $500 million from Anchor Protocol

The Celsius crypto lending service withdrew $500 million from Anchor Protocol due to UST instability.

At least 261,000 ETH ($535 million) was sent to Anchor Protocol from Celsius wallets within five months.

Celsius allows retail investors to earn up to 17% per annum on cryptocurrency deposits.

In turn, Anchor offers a yield of up to 20% on deposits in UST.

According to The Block, on May 11, Celsius withdrew about 225,000 ETH, and later managed to take the remaining 36,000 ETH.

"Everything was relatively normal for Celsius, because they used Bonded ETH (bETH) as collateral to borrow UST, which they then transferred to Anchor to generate income. In the current situation, it turned out to be safer than buying UST from the market," said Igor Igamberdiev, an analyst at The Block.

The analyst also reported that the withdrawn ETH was subsequently sent to the Aave v2 lending protocol.
