SEC Hits Back at Musk after Billionaire Cries Unfair Treatment
The Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) has responded to Elon Musk alleging that the agency’s “unfounded” investigation into him and Tesla was stepping on his free speech.
The SEC wrote in a letter, that the action regarding Musk requires complex treatment and therefore is taking quite some time, but “that process is nearing completion and, barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Distributions staff expects to submit the proposed plan of distribution for the Court’s approval by the end of March 2022.”
Since 2019, Musk has been in hot water with the SEC several times over dubious tweets regarding his company - it was revealed earlier this month that the agency had subpoenaed Tesla citing one such incident.
