#Issuers: Banks or other financial institutions that issue credit cards to consumers on behalf of the card networks.

#Acquirers: Banks or financial institution that enables a merchant to accept credit card payments from a customer’s card-issuing bank within a credit card network.

Payment Gateway Payment Processor

#PaymentGateways: Merchant Service Provider that collects credit/debit card data before sending that customer data to the Payment Processor. Basically they are the “online” equivalent of a physical card reader.

#PaymentProcessors: Merchant Service Provider that encrypts the data and send that information to the acquirer for #authorization. It acts as the mediator between all institutions. Open / Comment
