We are proud to be supporting leading space robotics company Astrobotic Technology, Inc. as it sends its first commercial lander to the Moon in Q4 this year. It’s another giant leap in space travel which will see, for the first time, a private company leading a coalition of government, academia, industry and international partners reach the lunar surface.

BitMEX will mint a one-of-a-kind physical bitcoin, similar to the Casascius coins of 2013, which will be delivered to the Moon by Astrobotic. The coin will hold one bitcoin at an address to be publicly released, underneath a tamper-evident hologram covering. The coin will proudly display the BitMEX name, the mission name, the date it was minted and the bitcoin price at the time of minting.

2021-06-04 11:13:21 Updates to BitMEX Indices and Quarterly Futures Listings Q3 2021

On 16 June 2021 at 08:00 UTC, BitMEX will list new quarterly Futures. Please see our blog for listings and settlements for current and upcoming Futures contracts for Q3 2021 - available on Testnet now: https://bit.ly/3wUCEj3

The new contracts will be visible on the platform from 15 June 2021 at 08:00 UTC as Unlisted, 24 hours before the start of trading.

On 25 June 2021 at 12:00:05 UTC BitMEX will update its indices across all products. The affected indices will be:

.BXBT, .BETH, .BXRP, .BBCH. .BLTC, .BUSDT;

.BETHXBT, .BXRPXBT, .BBCHXBT, .BLTCXBT, .BEOSXBT, .BADAXBT, .BTRXXBT;

.BAAVET, .BADAT, .BBNBT, .BDOGET, .BDOTT, .BEOST, .BFILT, .BLINKT, .BSOLT, .BUNIT, .BXLMT, .BXTZT, .BYFIT;

And .BXBTEUR.

Please note that the hypothetical values of the indices with new weights are published as the “NEXT” index family (e.g. .BXBT_NEXT).

2021-06-04 07:10:51 The XBTEUR Perpetual Swap and Futures Contracts Come to BitMEX

The XBTEUR Perpetual Swap and Futures Contracts, with up to 50x leverage, will go live on 16 June 2021 and are available on Testnet now, so users can test their trading strategies in a safe environment ahead of production release.

The contracts will be visible on the platform from 04:00 UTC (XBTEUR Perpetual Swap) and 08:00 UTC (XBTEURU21 Futures) on 15 June as Unlisted, 24 hours before trading starts.

The BitMEX Summer of Listings continues with the addition of Filecoin (FIL).

The FILUSDT Perpetual Swap contract with up to 33x leverage will go live at 04:00 UTC on 9 June 2021 and is visible on Testnet now.

The contract will be visible on the platform from 04:00 UTC on 8 June 2021 as Unlisted, 24 hours before start of trading.
