2021-09-09 13:44:52 We’d like to thank you for your continued and unwavering trust in Cake DeFi and upgrading to the new 5-year and 10-year Freezer, which will generate 1.5x and 2x the rewards respectively. The response from all of you has been positively overwhelming, and we’re pleased to share that within these short 24 hours, approx. 20m DFI has been added to the new Freezer.

We have already spun up the new Freezer nodes using idle funds (DFI that is not in any products) to try and ensure a seamless transition with minimal lag time. We’ll be spinning down and resigning our old nodes shortly however, this process might take an extra day or two.
During this process, the rewards from the newly spun up nodes should kick in within the next few days, and we are certain that everyone will be happy with the higher returns coming from the Freezer.

Thanks again for all your continued support — none of this would have been possible if not for you. We promise to continue to innovate and bring even more products that generate high returns for you all.

From El Salvador adopting Bitcoin as legal tender, to the launch of the new and improved Cake DeFi Freezer, today is one for the crypto history books!

The response from you all — our valued and trusted community of bakers — has been incredible. Within the first 6 hours, more than 15 Million DFI have been frozen for 10 years! We'd like to take this moment to thank you for your continued trust in us, and we promise to continue to push the boundaries of innovation to deliver the best products and experiences for you all.

IMPORTANT: All funds allocated in the 5/10-year Freezer will be moved to spin-up new Freezer Masternodes, in order to find the first few blocks. As a result, your daily staking rewards will be lower than usual. However, this is just temporary and after a short delay of around 24-48 hours, the full NEW rewards will kick-in.

2021-09-06 13:58:15 Our highly anticipated on-chain freezer, offering up to double rewards, is launching tmr morning (UTC). The Cake team has been hard at work to bring this new product to fruition.

Some of our new products need extra time in the oven to develop their Cake typical taste and high reward structure. It is always hard to specify an exact time for the launch. As a result, we are aiming for a launch tomorrow morning UTC.
