The distribution of funds to former users of the defunct crypto exchange Mt. Gox is set to begin in 2023 after the appointed debtor shared the final modalities for the repayment. Indeed, the customers are set to receive about $1.7 billion in cash, 141,000 Bitcoins (BTC), and another 142,000 Bitcoin Cash (BCH) from January next year, targeting about 10,000 customers globally. Notably, the creditors will be required to select between four main repayment options, including early lump-sum repayments, repayment for a portion of cryptocurrency rehabilitation claims digital assets, reimbursement by bank remittance, and repayment by remittance through a Fund Transfer Service Provider.

And Sandeep Nailwal, who co-founded the Polygon blockchain, has also contributed, along with a host of hedge funds. Xalts was co-founded by former Meta Asia executive Supreet Kaur, who serves as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, and Ashutosh Goel, a former trader at HSBC Holdings, who acts as Chief Investment Officer. In order to capitalize on what it sees as increased institutional investment in digital assets, Xalts said it is looking to launch multiple fund products linked to digital assets.

From 2021 to now, there has been roughly a 200% increase in NFT trademark filings, which Kondoudis outlined on his Twitter page. According to statistics on October 5, the total computational power backing the Bitcoin network tapped a fresh all-time high reaching 321.15 exahash per second (EH/s). Just after the record high, the network’s total hashrate was coasting along above the 300 EH/s on Wednesday afternoon (ET) at around 303.87 (EH/s).

On Wednesday, at block height 757,214, statistics from coinwarz.com shows Bitcoin’s total hashrate reached an all-time high (ATH). BTC’s network hashpower data indicates that the last hashrate ATH was recorded on September 11, 2022, at block height 753,647, when it reached approximately 301.87 EH/s. Before the jump over 300 exahash, the network’s hashrate reached a prior ATH on June 8, 2022, at block height 739,928 reaching 292.02 EH/s.
