2022-04-20 19:16:05 Coinbase announced the launch of their own NFT-marketplace

Six months ago, Coinbase, the largest crypto exchange in the U.S. by volume, announced that it was launching an NFT marketplace, but provided few details as to when it would actually arrive. Fast forward to today: “Coinbase NFT” launched its beta mode with collections of NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain.

Coinbase is a publicly traded cryptocurrency exchange platform that has about 89 million users, $278 billion in crypto assets, and $547 billion in quarterly volume traded, according to its website.

During the beta launch, Coinbase is curating and showcasing a number of NFT collections like Doodles, World of Women, and Azuki. Any Ethereum-based collection will be accessible on Coinbase NFT, with “more [blockchains] available soon,” Alex Plutzer, NFT product lead at Coinbase NFT, said during a press conference.

Hyundai Motor is officially entering the NFT space! The company has released a short film introducing its NFT universe called “Metamobility Universe”. To celebrate the release of this film, the automaker is partnering with Meta Kongz to launch an NFT collection. The collection will only consist of 30 limited edition collectibles.

“We are extremely excited to introduce ‘Metamobility’ through our own NFTs and start this journey with ‘Meta Kongz’,” said Thomas Schemera, Global CMO of Hyundai Motor.

Binance has completed a quarterly BNB burn of 1,839,786 BNB (approximately $741,840,738), 9,403 BNB were burned in the Pioneer Burn.

Each quarter Binance uses 20% of its profits to buy back and burn BNBs until 50% of the total supply is burned. In the end, only 100,000,000 BNB will remain.

The first NFT flight tickets got available for purchase after a collaboration between Spain’s Air Europa and the blockchain firm TravelX.

One of the leading Spanish airline companies – Air Europa – partnered with the blockchain entity TravelX to introduce the world’s first series of non-fungible token (NFT) airline tickets. Users who buy such collectibles will board a special flight between Madrid and Miami on November 29, 2022.

NFT market learning to spot value over hype, say experts

People invested large amounts in NFTs but managed to sell less than 10-15% of generic ones. After about a year of inflated sales and valuations, the global market for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) is starting to mature, experts said.

“Most NFT creators fall for the hype without understanding how to create value," said Sidharth Sogani, founder and chief executive of CREBACO, a crypto analysis firm. “They are too focused on the price," he added.

Hyundai enters NFT market with own community, website and channels

Hyundai Motor is the first automaker to enter the NFT market with its own NET community, including the Hyundai NFT official website and channels on Discord and Twitter.

The Hyundai NFT community will provide its users with the Hyundai brand experience in the metaverse by sharing NFTs depicting its mobility solutions. The Hyundai NFT Discord and Twitter channels opened on April 15, and the official NFT website is scheduled to open in May, the company said.
