Good Crypto - Coin of the Week: Stacks (STX)

Stacks aims to enhance the capabilities of Bitcoin without requiring a fork or modifications to its blockchain. It accomplishes this goal by utilizing its proof-of-transfer (PoX) consensus mechanism, which allows it to interface directly with the Bitcoin blockchain. PoX requires miners to pay in BTC to generate new Stacks (STX) tokens. STX token holders can also "stack" their tokens to earn Bitcoin as a reward.

Clarity, a new smart contract programming language introduced by Stacks, has unambiguous syntax and is designed for both security and ease of use. Algorand (ALGO) blockchain uses this language to focus on smart contract development.
