Popular messaging app LINE has launched a non-fungible token marketplace called “LINE NFT,” only available for users in Japan.As per an announcement on the company’s website, the non-fungible token marketplace is now up with around 40,000 digital collectibles to grab for users.

LINE is a free messaging app available on a variety of platforms where users can text, voice call, or video call. It’s the most popular such software used in Japan with a userbase amounting to around 90 million.Through the new “LINE NFT” marketplace, users in Japan can now buy and sell non-fungible tokens, as well as easily send or exchange these digital assets with their contacts on the messaging app.

Emirates is committing a 'significant' investment towards digital space of the future.Emirates airline will be launching collectible and utility-based NFTs (non-fungible tokens), signalling a move into the fast-expanding NFT universe. The first projects are already underway, with a launch anticipated in the coming months, the airline said in a statement.

"Dubai and the UAE are blazing the way in the digital economy, having a clear vision supported by practical policies and regulatory frameworks in areas such as virtual assets, artificial intelligence, and data protection," said Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates airline and Group.

A Non-Fungible Token or NFT of Twitter Inc co-founder Jack Dorsey's first tweet received the highest bid of just under $280. The current owner of the NFT had put it up for sale for $48 million.

The nonfungible token of Dorsey’s first tweet failed to garner much in the way of interest when it was recently put up for resale, according to a Coindesk report.The NFT was of Dorsey's first tweet on 21 May, 2006.The auction for the NFT closed with only seven offers ranging from just 0.0019 Ether to 0.09 ETH, or about $6 to about $280. A far cry from the $48 million sought by the owner.Crypto entrepreneur Sina Estavi had listed the NFT and committed to donate half of the amount to charity.
