Binance has stated that it will no longer allow trading and payments to take place using the South Korean won, meaning that any trading pairs using the currency will be taken off the site.
On top of this, Binance will no longer offer Korean language support.
Although it is unclear why Binance has made the manoeuvre, it should be noted that South Korea's Financial Intelligence Unit has recently warned of potential criminal charges for unregistered crypto exchanges.
