2023-04-06 19:11:24 Covalent hit 100+ chains integrated!

In 2020, Ethereum was the first chain to be integrated by Covalent, and the only one to be integrated that year. Now 3 years later, Covalent is celebrating the integration of over 100 chains.

Here's a quick recap of our journey:

Covalent first began as a hackathon submission during the 2018 bear market. The Covalent Unified API was created from observing the growing demand for on-chain wallet data.

How did we get here?

By having more granular, on-chain data made accessible by the Unified API devs have the freedom for building a greater variety of use cases and applications on the blockchain AND building true multi-chain applications which can be easily deployed across - now, 100 chains!

In less than 3 years, Covalent was able to have quarter-over-quarter growth in blockchains indexed, and became the first to:

- App chains,
- Optimistic rollups, and
- zkRollups.

The first quarter saw numerous blockchain integrations, product updates for our developers, new partnerships, and more.

Here are some of our highlights:

Covalent integrates 30+ new chains in one quarter and reaches over 100 chains indexed; the most amount of chains ever indexed by a data infrastructure provider.

Devs building with the #UnifiedAPI now have access to 51 endpoints Covalent shipped this quarter including:

Class C: Balances, transactions and market data from some of the top protocols.

Transactions V3: Get recent transactions for address (v3).

and more!

The Covalent Network successfully migrated from Nomad to the Wormhole bridge, enabling the secure bridging of CQT to other networks

This marked the continuation of building Phase 2; the Block Specimen Refiner which is due to be launched in Q2.
