Team - We are very excited to welcome Sam Eyob (@seyob on Twitter) to the team as our new Chief Investment Officer. Over the past couple weeks we've been heads down, but we're excited to share three major updates.

Protocol - We submitted our first V2 release for audit! This was a major engineering effort that adds the functionality for pool tranches.

Borrowers - We expanded our loan book by a) increasing the funding with QuickCheck and b) closing a deal with a new borrower! This new borrower is a credit fund that is providing the capital to three businesses, two in India and one in Mexico. This also means we added a new country, India, where borrowers are now benefiting from the Goldfinch protocol!

Team - We hired a Chief Investment Officer (CIO)! He starts next week. We're super excited and can't wait to share more information when he joins.

Community - We're still looking to chat with people from the community! Specifically, we want to talk with those who are interested in being "Backers", who are participating in specific deals with specific borrowers. We continue to make steady progress towards our V2 launch.

Protocol - We continue to make steady progress towards launching V2. What is V2? We are working on putting together a design document that we are getting ready to share with the community - hopefully within a month or so.

LP Programs / Governance Tokens - As of right now there are no plans for a token presale or token sale. However, we are working hard to get the community involved, and will let you know as soon as we have concrete details.

Continued progress as we get ready for V2.

- Reading - In case you missed it, Mike (our CEO) published a piece on our vision for the future of finance and the role Goldfinch will play. - Protocol - We're making more progress on V2 of the protocol. Expecting to submit our first workable components of V2 code for audit by the end of the month.
- LP Programs / Governance Tokens - We have now almost $7M in the protocol and are continuing to grow this through our current LP Program. We're continuing to make progress on how to get the community involved in LP and token offerings.
- Borrowers - We just signed a new term sheet with one of our existing borrowers. More details on the new facility to come as we finalize additional paperwork.
- Community - We are continuing to make progress on designing our junior pool program. We'll be taking signups in the next couple weeks. Open / Comment

We've raised additional LP funds, and have a strong borrower pipeline lined up!

- Protocol - Our first real chunks of V2 code have been merged, and we collected feedback on an initial design of the V2 front-end from within our team.

- LP Programs / Governance Tokens - We've taken in our first few million of USDC from our current LP Program. We're continuing to make progress in conversations with our attorneys about how to get our larger community engaged in the platform.
- Borrowers - We are making progress in conversations with many new borrowers. We now have two deals in the final stages of signing, and hope to share some more exciting news in the next couple weeks!
- Community - We are getting ready to start taking sign ups for community members who might be interested in participating in the Goldfinch protocol as junior capital suppliers. Stay tuned for more info in the next week or two.

Another week of steady progress.

- Protocol - We made strong initial progress on smart contracts for V2 of the protocol. This included starting to set up our senior liquidity pool and pool tokens.
- LPs / Governance Tokens - We've started accepting transfers for our current LP raise. We're continuing to work with attorneys to figure out how to give the community access to governance tokens.
- Borrowers - We are continuing conversations with many new borrowers. Currently one deal is in the final stages of completion. We hope to share more details in the next week or two!
- Community - Thanks for feedback this week on platforms we can use for LP programs and token offerings! We really appreciate the help. We'll be opening up for new customer calls in the next couple weeks. Open / Comment

We've started work on V2!

- Protocol - Our V2 Technical Design is sufficiently complete, so we've started to build! We are planning on publishing our V2 design in the next several weeks.
- LPs / Governance Tokens - We've finalized allocations for our current LP raise. We're continuing to work with attorneys to figure out how to setup a liquidity program and token offering for the community. - Borrowers - We are continuing conversations with about 8 existing/new borrowers about new facilities. We'll share more info with the community as we finalize some of these deals in the coming weeks.

Steady progress and the Goldfinch team is growing!

- Team - We are very excited to welcome [Obinna Okwodu](https://www.linkedin.com/in/obinna-okwodu-3952272b/) (@obinnaokwodu on Twitter) to the Goldfinch team! Obinna has strong experience in finance and as an entrepreneur in emerging markets. He joins us as Credit Manager.
- Protocol - We fixed some front end bugs, and made some significant progress on our v2 technical design. We are planning on publishing our v2 design in the next several weeks. Stay tuned!
- Borrowers - We are in active conversations with 7 existing/new borrowers about new loans that could take us to significant volumes by the end of the year. They would also expand our geographic reach to many new countries.
- Community - We'd still love to chat with you! We want to figure out how to make Goldfinch one of the best crypto communities out there, so the founders are doing conversations with any member who'd like to sign up. V1.1 deployed and the initial LP program is ready!

- Protocol - We have deployed and migrated to V1.1! You can view the open sourced contracts, plus corresponding audit report [here](https://github.com/goldfinch-eng/goldfinch-contracts). We've also created our technical roadmap to get us to V2 (a more decentralized version of our current protocol). We plan on publishing our V2 design in the next several weeks. Stay tuned!
- LPs / Governance Tokens - After discussions with various Goldfinch community members, we have finalized the design of our initial LP program. In April, for the sake of speed, we'll raise some from a handful of larger LPs to help close new deals on the table now. Then, after figuring out the legal side of things, we will offer the exact same terms to everyone. 1. We are excited to announce another new team member this week, Andrew Huelsenbeck! (https://www.linkedin.com/in/ahuelsen/) Andrew was previously Director of Global of Operations at Branch (https://branch.co/), and he brings extensive experience in EM lending across global markets. He joins us as Head of Operations.

2. This week we started designing our liquidity program, including governance token incentives, which we plan to ramp up over the coming weeks. We'll be reaching out to the community more as well for your input.

3. We are nearly done with the v1.1 contract revisions and frontend app, and close to finalizing the audit.

4. We continued to make progress on new lending deals in new and exciting geographies, including final revisions on legal agreements for a partnership we're excited to share soon. Open / Comment
