HPB Foundation has now published fuller details of the exploit of 20 Oct. This review covers how the hack was identified, analysed and resolved.

2021-10-20 14:18:50 Minting Exploit on HPB MainNet

At 11:14:30 (GMT+8) on 20 Oct there was a token minting exploit on HPB MainNet.

HPB Foundation has notified exchanges to suspend trading and urges the hacker to get in touch for a reward for helping identify and resolve the vulnerability.

HPB holders are meanwhile urged to refuse any private offers of HPB tokens, to refrain from trading, to check your wallet holdings and to report any anomalies to [email protected]

An update on investigations will be given within the next 24 hours.
