Finally we are live with our new feature in our game, Custom tournament. Now you can set your own tournament with your own rules, duration, entry fee and also level range.

We will also enable the sponsor tournament option so we can give more rewards to our users. After sponsorship activation, MetaSoccer will be sponsoring some tournaments to increase the total prize pool as well.

This is a beta and we will be collection feedback and improve so we can release the full version

I am excited with changes that will be implemented in the game and I hope you all feel the same way.

As always we are eager to listen some feedback from our community and we will do our best to continue to improve the game experience in our journey together.

First of all a small about about the bugs that we had in Jan. As you can all notice the matches are running smoothly and we will keep an eye to see if everything is working properly.

And as promised, I can share now more updates about rewards and DAO vote that will happen next week!

Next PvP tournament will start on the 31th of January and will run again for 2 weeks. For that edition and all the others we will increase the MSU rewards by x4. A full table will be added later on a medium article and we will also update the WP soon.

Yes, we will have 1 week without PvP, from 24th to 31th.

But we will use that time to make our DAO, as promised.

In that DAO vote we will be able to give our opinion in two different topics, Aging and Formation. If u are a MSU holder or/and Pioneer holder you will be able to vote.

VOTE 1: Stop players aging

Description: Some community members suggested to stop players aging until the game is further developed. We heard the concerns and wanted to submit a vote for it. Since there’s some implications for training and other parts of the game we can’t freeze aging as it is but we could cap it at 35 years old so players won’t retire yet. What do you think?

Options:
Leave it as it is
Cap aging at 35 years old

VOTE 2: Add new formation

Description: What new formation would you like to play with in MetaSoccer?

4-3-3 B change CDM to CAM (offensive formation)
3-4-3 A middle LM CDM CM RM, attk LW CF/ST RW
4-2-4 two CM, LW LF RF RW
3-6-1 two CDM 1 CM 1 CAM

It's been a while since my last message and I guess it's time to share some updates!

We did some crazy sprints and we deliver a lot in the last quarter. And after the WC the team needed to take some time off to rest and start fresh in 2023.

Right now we are facing some bugs in the game that we are still checking to see what is the main issue.

Our priority right now is to make the game run smoothly and to clean all the tech debt that we had, due to our last deployments, to add new features to the game like divisions for example.

Next PvP tournament, we will increase significantly the MSU rewards
Friendly matches will no longer give rewards
DAO vote about capping aging
New formations will be added in the game

‍What an incredible year 2022 has been, for us and for the soccer metaverse! Let’s take a trip down memory lane and reflect on some of the main accomplishments we achieved together.
In just one year, we were able to establish license agreements with some of the biggest soccer stars in the world and have them represented as NFTs in the soccer metaverse. Thanks to Thomas Partey, Emiliano Martínez, Ronaldinho, Dani Carvajal, and Pablo Sarabia for joining this adventure and being a key part of the Icons Series!

But those weren’t the only ones to join us on this adventure. We also partnered with big names like Telefónica, Polygon, and Chainlink, as well as major gaming guilds like Sura Gaming Guild, OlaHeretics, IndiGG among others. Together we brought many advantages to our projects and communities.
MetaSoccer’s digital pitches, however, were the center stage of many goals scored. We delivered a lot of essential features that made the game experience significantly better and held worldwide competitions that allowed you to have fun and earn with the game.
There’s still more room to improve, and in early 2023 we’ll be ready to deploy some of the most awaited features.

Our team also grew a lot, as well as our family — you, the players who hit the pitch every day and helped us improve and evolve with your daily suggestions — and we couldn’t be more thankful.
Not everything was fun and games, as you know. We are facing one of the hardest crypto winters the industry has ever seen, which is putting many business models to the test. Our play-and-earn model at MetaSoccer is always evolving, and we are committed to analyzing it with the goal of making it even better, and to do so we highly value the insights and perspectives of both community users and investors.

Once again, I’d like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank each of you — any game or project is only as strong as the group of people who like it and play it, and we know we’re in great hands with you!

And speaking about WC....

We also had our first MetaSoccer WC

Unfortunately Guhs FC, like Brazil, was KO in the quarters . But for sure it was a fun experience and I hope you guys enjoyed as much as I did.

A special congratulations to: OneMino FC, La Pepineta, Bayz, Futverso FC, MK Ultra, Arsenal Gru, Dot FC, VascoLeo Superstar, Ataraxia, Pegasus Fantasy, Magic United, AFC Richmond for being the champions

All the rewards will be distributed this week, included the ones for the qualifier.
