According to an update posted by RippleX, the development arm of the San Francisco-based blockchain company, its team of developers is now confident in the XRP Ledger’s ability to support the XLS-20 standard for non-fungible tokens.

Ripple upgraded its serves in order to let validators vote in favor of implementing the aforementioned standard. The developer team started testing whether or not the XRPL would be able to support the additional transaction load brought by on-ledger NFTs.The RippleX team was able to reach the peak sustained throughput of 2,199 transactions per second when XRP payments. The developer team also tested NFT throughput by creating a million accounts that minted 20 NFTs each.

Vincenzo Sospiri Racing (VSR), a GT racing team backed by Lamborghini's motorsport department, has announced its partnership with nonfungible token (NFT) platform Go2NFT to launch a program that certifies racing car parts.

In an announcement sent to Cointelegraph, former racing champion Vincenzo Sospiri from the VSR mentioned that their team will build NFT certification for their race cars with Go2NFT and blockchain platform Skey Network. This will allow them to monitor and ensure the quality of the car parts. Apart from the car parts, VSR is also looking to expand the NFT certification program to official merchandise and its other products as well. According to the team, this will give fans peace of mind when purchasing branded goods.

In a media release, British automotive company Lotus Cars declared plans to launch into the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Lotus is to collaborate on its first NFT collection with Ripple as a blockchain partner, providing technical support on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) blockchain and a web3 NFT as a service solution, NFT PRO.

In April, Rare Air Media, the publisher of Michael Jordan's graphic autobiography, For the Love of the Game, announced its entry into the NFT market.The company went on to say that it would be launching NFTs on the XRPL in conjunction with VSA Partners, Ripple's Creator Fund's primary creative agency partner, featuring a one-of-a-kind collection of digital assets dedicated to former NBA player Michael Jordan's life and career.

In this case, the NFT was designed by xsullo, and it features artwork depicting a Z06 racing through the streets of what appears to be a futuristic city. The illustrated Z06 wears the same zany green color as the physical '23 Corvette Z06, which Chevy says is called Minted Green. It also says the car that's being auctioned is the only 2023 production model that will wear the exclusive hue. The exact spec includes the Z07 package and carbon-fiber wheels, along with a commemorative plaque and a VIN.
