With the acquisition of Revault finally being around the corner and before the DAO passes a final proposal to approve of it, we want to hear from Layered Cake Protocol CEO Maddy Rich and Mati Greenspan from Quantum Economics what the immediate plans around the acquisition, Revault and Layered Cake Protocol are.

2022-11-05 22:42:26 The Revault DAO council is formed.

As per the DAO we have three members:

Ivan Sadžakov (@Boioink)
Tiago (@Romsty23)
Karma Chameleon (@ChameleonNinja)

Their most important responsibilities and abilities encompass:

Exclusive Proposal rights along with QE.
Holding keys to the treasury (majority of the council and one sig from QE required).
Autonomous minor decisions with following reporting to the rest of the DAO.


With more agility in decision making we are fully able to cooperate on an eye-to-eye basis with Quantum Economics.

Next up: AMA with Quantum Economics detailed plans regarding both Revault and Layered Cake Protocol, which Revault will be a part of once fully acquired. Open / Comment

This proposal will be up for voting for one week until next Friday.

We need EVERYONE to participate!
You can distribute your voting power at will between the different candidates. The three candidates with the most voting power will become the first Revault DAO council members.

Suggestions for a council of DAO members are open. We are looking for strong ambassadors of the community and people you trust. They need to be reliable, genuine and have a strong interest in what both the DAO and the platform itself want and need.

ANYBODY IS FREE TO NOMINATE.

Monday (Oct 3) next week at 2PM UTC we will close the nominations, ask the nominated whether they accept their nominations and then have a three day voting from Wednesday to Friday with (if possible) quadratic voting (diminishing returns with more tokens, meaning even large quantity holders will be relatively even with medium quantity holders). The communication with Xgeeks has been concluded, they will not go forward and take over the project.
The "New team taking over" was the Community's vote, but sadly this is no longer a valid option.

We will make another proposal to make a final choice between the other two valid options:

1. Spend the rest of the foundation's money to prepare the protocol for open-source & to hand over the multisig keys to the community representatives.

2. Continue with our original plan to list $REVA in a Korean exchange and hope this will have enough demand power for healthy price action, until then, do nothing other than supporting the existing product.

On the announcement from May 30, we decided to have 3 AMAs in order to provide you with all of the latest updates and information regarding the state of the project, discuss them, and decide together what is the best way to proceed.

After discussing everything, those are the final 3 options we have:

1. New team takes over – This could be a good idea since the current team cannot continue due to personal reasons and budget issues. The new team will receive the keys for the contract, and the current R&D team will guide them through the handling over.

2. Spend the rest of the money on the foundation to prepare the protocol to be an open-source protocol & spreading the multisig keys with the rest of the community.

3. Continue with our original plan to list $REVA in a Korean exchange and hope this will have enough demand power for healthy price action, until then, do nothing other than supporting the existing product.
