Shuen Hwee is a co-founder of Terraformers and a community builder at Audacity. She strives to ensure that her work is both environmentally and socially sustainable, creating positive cycles of impact on local communities. Her work at Audacity involves community outreach to young, aspiring entrepreneurs where she led Prototypical, a national prototyping festival in Singapore. She was also the project lead of the DeMineCraft project, applying digital twinning technologies to create safe and comfortable workplaces for individuals.

About Minesweepers - Towards a Landmine-free World

The first international competition that aims at raising public awareness of the seriousness of landmines and unexploded ordnances (UXOs) contamination, fostering robotics research and its applications in the area of humanitarian demining in the world and actively contributing toward the achievement some of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by UN Member States.

The ultimate goal of the Minesweepers competition is applying robotics technology to solve landmines problems, which matches with the new strategic mission of IEEE, “…to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity”.

To serve as an educational and research forum to provide efficient, reliable, adaptive and cost-effective solutions for the serious problem of humanitarian demining in many affected countries in the world, the competition motivates the participants to create new companies and industries geared towards minefield reconnaissance and mapping technologies.

Moreover, the applicability of the robotic systems presented in this competition can be extended to a wide range of other applications such as security and surveillance, search and rescue, health monitoring of civil infrastructure, pipeline monitoring, and environment monitoring.

In this competition, each participating team constructs a teleoperated/autonomous unmanned ground/aerial vehicle that must be able to search for buried and surface-laid anti-personnel landmines and UXOs. The position and the type of each detected object are visualized and overlaid on a minefield map.

‍ Let's give a warm welcome to today's guest: Omar Mohamed - Executive Manager of Minesweepers International Competition

Omar Mohamed is the Robotics Program Manager at Delta Square International LLC. which is an Innovation Enablement Platform that ignites innovation mainly in new and emerging technologies; through capacity building, pre-incubation programs and competitions with a vision of breaking barriers between people and technology.

Through his work, Omar is the Executive Manager of Minesweepers International Competition. This first outdoor robotics aims at raising public awareness of the seriousness of landmines, in addition to leading the Underwater Robotics Challenges in the North Africa region. He was formerly the Robotics Program Coordinator at Hadath GIE from Jan 2018 to 2019. Also, Omar was the President and the Executive Manager of Innovation Hub Ain Shams University (iHUB ASU) from Nov 2016 - Oct 2017. The Hub is a joint project founded by Ain Shams University, TIEC, The Ministry of Higher Education and EiTESAL.

The first is from Mr. Tuan Nguyen - A Product Owner with a touching photo.

“I'm a Product Owner in EdTech and Blockchain. How did I get to this point, with zero tech background and education? I started to build youtube videos, exploring Science and Technology because I love those topics and youtube are full of "trash" contents.

Then I founded a small company producing science and technology learning instruments. I meet a lot of cool people: investors, co-founders, robot builders, developers... After that, I got chances to work in Millions of User Companies and learned all the skills needed to become a strong Product Owner today. I'm grateful for my journey! Especially for all the small actions that I took 8 years ago.”

At MCRD Info Session, He will share with the community A great change that comes from the first small actions and brings a picture of my grandmother's scar because of the Vietnam war.

He would love to say to the community: People who take any action to help bring about good chances, also change themselves for the better. So anything, for this world and for your development, just do it!

REVENUE MANAGEMENT

As following the concept of XDAO series, we would like to share the last category: Revenue management

Tracking Revenue
Similar to traditional business contracts, DAO will create smart contracts (can help to track financial transactions of the DAO) for products and services we provide.

Revenue Sharing
As per Kambria DAO model, Kambria DAO LP tokens are Revenue Sharing Token (1) which will bring more benefits for DAO members due to:
- The clear relationship between DAO’s commercial success and the token value, and
- Pre-defined income stream to token holders in the sense that token holders will be rewarded instantly at the time of recording revenues.
To implement this model on XDAO:
- We can apply the modules of Dividends (2) or Transaction automation (3) that XDAO is developing.
- Or Kambria team will develop this module to integrate to XDAO, similar to the revenue sharing feature of Knowledge Base on Kambria platform.

“ Identify and reduce the impact and risk of explosive hazards to a level where people are safe. Land clearance, EORE, victim assistance (referred to here as survivor assistance), advocacy, and stockpile destruction comprise the core activities of the mine action sector.
Create new opportunities for access and development. It is not only a needed precursor for sustainable development, but it is also intimately linked to the United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In war-impacted states, addressing ERW through mine action is at the heart of this nexus, and often foundational to humanitarian, development, and peace-building programs that follow a war’s end.

Following the concept of the XDAO series, let’s discuss the Commercialization process

Proposal submission and discussion
DAO community can submit proposals of marketing and biz dev in DAO’s Discord channel
DAO members and external partners can submit proposals and join the open discussions

Bidding and voting
We can call for more proposals from other teams to bid to select the best team
DAO Council will vote to execute the proposal and choose the team to do it

Implementation
Proposal implementation will be managed monthly similar to the development phase
Or they will be managed by smart contracts with specific terms to be defined, similar to traditional businesses
