2021-05-01 14:34:27 ​​Telegram came in third in terms of crypto exchanges' activity levels behind Twitter and Facebook. 65% of exchanges use it as a key channel, but only 13 out of the 32 platforms in our study are really active on Telegram.

Binance has the biggest number of active chats (40), followed by KuCoin (19) and Huobi (12). They are in different languages and focus on different topics: news, support, general, etc. This is a great example of community segmentation and management.

Exchanges' tech support on Telegram is particularly interesting: both Binance & Huobi have volunteers who help users in the chat (Binance Angels & Huobi Knights). This format shortens the response time and has a positive effect on user loyalty.

2021-04-23 20:56:01 ​​4 disappointing insights about Crypto exchanges email marketing (we monitored all the emails top-30 platforms sent us for two weeks):

1. None of the platforms used trigger emails. Although it gently pushes the user to finish what they've started and can increase conversions and revenue.

2. 50% of the platforms don't have an onboarding email sequence, which serves to welcome new users, explain how to use the platform, and form a positive brand image.

3. Half of the exchanges didn't send us a single newsletter. This is yet another missed opportunity to remind the customers about their existence.

4. Many exchanges don't have a proper design template with a consistent color scheme, branded visuals, fonts, etc. A template helps create an image of the brand in the customer's mind (look at the image).

2021-04-21 18:57:11 BDC Consulting analysts have calculated how much you can earn with an IDO on Polkastarter — and it's a lot... as long as you buy in at the right moment (see the chart):

Buy tokens during the IDO and sell right after the listing: the average return is x23 (min 67% with eMoney Public and max 9191% with Polkamon);
Buy in at the IDO and hold for a short while after the listing: x27 on average (min 146% among the projects we've studied and max 11060% with SuperFarm);
Buy after the listing: the average return is 'just' 36%.

But the most interesting part is that the average returns keep growing, which means that the market is hugely undervalued. Open / Comment

In 2018, Binance was the undisputed leader with 30.2% of the top 30 exchanges’ overall trading volume. We wrote about that in our first exchange study.

But things changed in 2020: Huobi became no.1 with 28.9%, followed by Binance (26%) and OKEx (22.1%). And while there isn’t a big difference in volume among these three exchanges, there’s a big gap between them and bitFlyer in the 4th spot with just 4.1% of the total. Open / Comment
