Mark Yusko, during the Tech Path Crypto podcast, lamented that about 80% of all bitcoins are concentrated outside of the U.S. and only about 20% of the cryptocurrency remains in the possession of Americans. Yusko emphasized that even if U.S. citizens weren't invested in BTC, it wouldn't interfere with its daily functioning.

The head of Morgan Creek Capital says bitcoin is especially in demand in countries whose national currencies are subject to devaluation, such as Nigeria. In addition to the Nigerian naira, Yusco mentioned the Turkish lira, the Argentine peso and the Venezuelan bolivar. Given the unstable economies of all four countries, their citizens prefer gold and bitcoin.

Damien Carême, a member of the European Parliament and one of the initiators of the bill, told reporters that the proposed amendments are not intended to completely block cryptocurrency transactions. Limits on the amount of a single transaction of 1,000 euros (about $1080) are introduced for anonymous payments.

"We absolutely do not prevent cryptocurrency transactions, but we limit their volume for cases where user identification is not possible," said Damien Karem.

The machines are connected to the cryptocurrency payment services Alchemy Pay and Binance Pay.

"The installation of such a vending machine by Burger King in Paris marks a big step in the adoption of cryptocurrency to pay for real goods and services," Alchemy Pay said in a press release.

Yann Phu, CEO of Flash Development, a distributor of Instpower vending machines in Europe, said the availability of such systems in Paris is an important development for the European market.

"In Asia, these machines are widely used, but in Europe the market is just starting to get to grips with them. With Alchemy Pay helping users pay with cryptocurrency through Binance Pay, we are offering advanced payment methods to Europeans," he said.

The management of cryptocurrency trading platform Bitget reported an investment of $30 million in the BitKeep multi-purse. Thus, the company received a controlling stake. This deal will enable the exchange to increase the range of services offered. In addition, it will allow BitKeep to improve the security and efficiency of the service.
