Axie Infinity NFT Sales Dip Below $10 Million for Four Consecutive Months

Axie
Infinity NFTs continue to see a decline in the number of unique buyers as well as average sale value which impacted its August sales volume negatively. Axie Infinity is one of the oldest NFTs in the digital collectibles space and has brought significant fortune to several collectors across the globe. Despite surpassing $5 million in sales in August which is quite impressive considering the number of NFT projects in the crypto finance industry today, Axie Infinity plunged by approximately $842 million from August 2021. In August 2021, sales reached the $848 million level, marking an all-time high monthly volume for Axie Infinity.

OpenSea confirms it will support Ethereum’s merge to proof-of-stake.

OpenSea business is majorly dependent on Ethereum so, there's no way they won't support the proof-of-stake merge, except if they don't want to stay in business anymore. Besides, when Ethereum fully transitions to PoS and implements Sharding, the gas fee issue will be resolved.

Ticketmaster Chooses Dapper Labs' Flow Blockchain for NFT Tickets

Event
ticketing behemoth Ticketmaster announced today that it will adopt the Flow blockchain from Dapper Labs for minting tickets as NFTs for select events. The NFTs—unique blockchain tokens that signify ownership—will function primarily as collectible digital memorabilia, but also as a shareable “proof of attendance.” Over the past six months, Dapper Labs and Ticketmaster quietly launched an NFT pilot program. In it, Ticketmaster automatically issued ticket NFTs as memorabilia to attendees of specific events like the Super Bowl LVI this year. In the pilot program, more than five million Flow NFTs were minted in a six month period, according to Dapper.

Magic Eden looks to challenge OpenSea’s NFT dominance

The startup has become the default way for NFT traders in the Solana ecosystem to transact, but as the marketplace has grown, its team has refocused its ambitions to take on OpenSea on its home turf — the Ethereum network, for which they’ve recently begun rolling out early support. The startup is looking to differentiate itself inside the broader NFT marketplace space, shying away from being a hub for online art, and leaning more into verticals like gaming.

DeGods Have Ascended: Solana NFT Project Soars Ahead of Buzzy y00ts Launch

DeGods
topped a floor price—that is, the cheapest listed NFT on a marketplace—of 500 SOL for the first time on Sunday. As of this writing, the floor at leading marketplace Magic Eden sits at 587 SOL, or nearly $18,650. That makes it the most valuable Solana-based NFT profile picture (PFP) project with at least 10,000 items, handily topping Solana Monkey Business at 192 SOL (about $6,100) at the low end. A flurry of DeGods secondary market sales helped push the floor price upwards this weekend, and the project topped all other projects on the market—including on Ethereum.
