PechShield Inc reported that NFT platform SudoRare has allegedly run off with $815,000 (512 ETH) in user funds and deleted its social media accounts, raising alarms over investor protection.

The platform has transferred the funds to three new addresses. The "actor" behind the rug pull is a user of the Kraken exchange, as trails show funds were transferred to the user's accounts.

The Flow network’s FLOW token, which can be used to build NFTs and decentralized applications (dapps) such as games on the Web3 platform, slumped 20% during the past seven days. FLOW’s decline was the second largest during that period among 52 cryptocurrencies with a market cap over $1 billion, according to crypto data and analysis firm Messari. According to a report from NFT data aggregator NonFungible.com, the amount of U.S. dollars traded in the NFT market dropped 25% in the second quarter from the first three months. Meta said it has opened applications for the AR/VR Africa Metathon in partnership with Imisi 3D and BlackRhino VR. According to the firm, the AR/VR Africa Metathon is a series of programmes and activations under its global XR fund aimed at supporting XR talents on the continent to build innovative solutions that demonstrate various use cases of the metaverse. It added that the metathon would feature three major components including a training programme, an Africa-wide hackathon that would take place across 16 countries in Africa physically and open to everyone virtually, followed by an intensive bootcamp to further develop solutions.
