You could have noticed that tonscan.org has a special place in our channel. And it is not accidental: the blockchain explorer has an easy-to-use interface, without excess information, and works quite fast. With a recent update, tonscan.org has become even more convenient: now, users can see whether the TON address has any jettons or not.

In addition, the explorer recently started displaying wallet names while searching. It means you do not need to know the address of the NFT collection or some wallet to find it. Just enter its name in the search box on the site. We are glad to see that one of the most user-friendly explorers on The Open Network keeps updating quite often.

We’re happy to announce that the CoinGecko crypto resource platform has updated Toncoin’s ranking. Now, it is sitting comfortably in 32nd place per its market capitalization, which is worth $2.4 billion and whose daily trading volume is just north of $10.5 million.

In September, Toncoin made it to the top 50 biggest cryptocurrencies of the world on CoinMarketCap, occupying 31st place.

We’re always down for making shout-outs to grant initiatives and teams working in our ecosystem, so today, we want to introduce you to TonWhales’ project accelerator program.

TonWhales is prepared to offer financial and advisory support to projects (either already operational or finding themselves in the early stages) that stand out as the best blockchain specialists and experienced product creators on TON.

Projects wanting to apply to the program must understand who the product is for and why it needs to be developed:

1. What problem does your project solve, and how?
2. How much funding is needed to bring the project to fruition?
3. Why have you chosen this much funding instead of another number?

2022-11-03 19:30:01 ​More than 50 Telegram usernames have found new owners.

Yesterday evening, the first Telegram username auctions kicked off on the Fragment marketplace, which launched last week.

The top five most expensive usernames were:

@auto — 900,000 TON
@bank — 850,000 TON
@avia — 800,000 TON
@chat — 700,000 TON
@fifa — 600,000 TON

The total amount spent on usernames came to about $9.12 million per Toncoin’s price at the time of writing.

Congratulations to the auction winners.

Once you get your hands on a username on Fragment, you’ll get access to all TON DNS possibilities.

For example, you can assign your new username to a wallet and use that instead of a long wallet address.

To do so, you go to the NFT section in the Tonkeeper crypto wallet, select the username, and tap “Link current wallet address” to assign the domain to your wallet’s address.

You can find a more detailed guide on assigning TON DNS usernames in the “Is it possible without a Chrome extension?” section.

It’s worth noting that at the moment, only tokenized Telegram usernames minted on the TON blockchain have access to TON DNS functionalities — i.e., only those bought on Fragment.

However, Pavel Durov has promised that users would be able to sell their usernames on Fragment to all Telegram users shortly. Open / Comment

2022-11-02 19:30:03 ​After a community vote among validators, the “t.me” domain was added to the root TON DNS smart contract.

This news means that “t.me” owners now have the following opportunities:

You can assign the username.t.me format to your TON crypto wallet, allowing users to send Toncoin to your Telegram username.

Product creators can assign smart contracts to Telegram usernames. They can also assign usernames to decentralized TON sites.

Moreover, you can store your username in your crypto wallet, sell it, and even put it up for auction, but your ownership rights to your “t.me” will always be recorded on the blockchain.

In other words, “t.me” owners have received access to all the possibilities offered by TON DNS technologies.

Last week, the TON Foundation proposed to add “t.me” domains to the root TON DNS smart contract.

After a round of voting among community validators from Oct. 31 to Nov. 1, the TON Foundation’s initiative was approved.

We also want to bring your attention to a particular detail concerning these two offers.

At first glance, 12% APY staking over a short period doesn’t look all that attractive compared to Huobi’s 500% or OKX’s 65% APYs.

However, KuCoin’s 50,000-Toncoin deposit limit is rather large, allowing Toncoin holders to earn potentially more interest compared to the offers from OKX and Huobi.
