2022-10-25 20:37:48 ​The Ethereum–BNB Smart Chain bridge is nearing completion.

The TON Foundation has announced that the development of the crosschain transfer of tokens will soon be completed and that the bridge will officially launch soon.

What does this mean?

The release of this service will open many new possibilities. Users will be able to send any token from the Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain networks to the TON network and vice versa.

What’s more, you’ll be able to store any coin from the two networks in your TON-based wallet, including Ether (ETH), Tether (USDT), BNB, SushiSwap (SUSHI), Uniswap (UNI), CAKE, Dogecoin (DOGE), and others.

Wrapped tokens will adhere to TON DeFi’s standards and behave like Jettons. In other words, you’ll be able to use them with any TON-based services — wallets, marketplaces, DEXs, etc. — without additional modifications.

2022-10-25 00:25:31 Telegram Username Auctions: What we know so far

We’ve recently announced that Telegram is preparing to launch its TON-based Telegram Auction Platform, where users will be able to buy and sell their usernames in the messenger.

We’re aware that the platform is creating a lot of buzz — but there are lots of questions, too. Today, we’re going to share with you some details.

All usernames are represented as NFTs on TON.
Usernames can be stored in crypto wallets and put up for auction on any NFT marketplace, including Telegram’s official platform.
The Telegram Auction Platform will operate by the same mechanics as the TON DNS auction: An auction begins as soon as a user places the first bid. Every auction will have a time restriction.
There will be no need to extend username ownership.

Hacktoberfest is underway for open-source projects on TON and will close in nine days.

More than 20 TON projects need help from contributors, so all developers are encouraged to join the festival!

Hack-TON-berfest is an excellent opportunity to make the first step toward building a reputation in the TON community, contribute to the development of the Web3 internet, and receive a limited-edition NFT.

On Oct. 24 at 16:00 (UTC), people will be able to join a livestream where they’ll learn how to make a quality Pull Request, the reasons why people should participate in such an event, and how open-source development influences the growth of the TON ecosystem.

At the end of summer, Pavel Durov, founder of Telegram Messenger, heaped praise onto the TON DNS auction and announced the launch of a Telegram username marketplace based on TON.

Yesterday, the official Telegram Usernames channel informed its subscribers that the marketplace’s development had been completed and that Telegram username auctions would launch shortly.

2022-10-20 18:00:11 ​We’re inviting people to hack smart contracts and steal Toncoin.

The TON Hack Challenge for developers will be on Oct. 23 and will have a prize pool of 30,000 Toncoin.

Participants will have a challenging task: hack eight smart contracts and make away with the Toncoin.

Every smart contract will have a critical vulnerability that allows participants to bypass the given contract’s logic and drain all its tokens.

Returning the stolen tokens won’t be necessary: Their new home will be the wallets of the eight successful hackers as their reward.

To participate in the TON Hack Challenge, you must register through @toncontests_bot.

We also recommend preparing for the competition by studying the documentation, creating a developer’s environment, and reviewing the TON Hack Challenge checklist.

At the beginning of autumn, The Open Network tag was added to Stack Overflow. Now, TON ecosystem users can participate in creating a massive knowledge library for developers.

However, due to some restrictions that slow down progress on the platform, TON ecosystem enthusiasts have launched a pilot version of a TON knowledge library, which is based on the same principles as Stack Overflow.

The knowledge library is a resource of questions and answers on coding for TON programmers.

The goal of the answers.ton.org service is to create a comprehensive and convenient database that will be constantly updated and cover the majority of questions surrounding programming on TON.

Now, developers have two information resources at their disposal in Stack Overflow and answers.ton.org.

On Oct. 10, the TON network reached an important milestone: its first-ever IDO. The Fanzee project raised $100,000 from investors in as little as four hours.

The Tonstarter launchpad, where the IDO was held, received over 7,800 Waitlist applications; however, only 438 people were lucky enough to receive an allocation.

We’re humbled to see how thousands of people continue to show interest in independent products based on TON, believe in their future success, and are ready to invest money in early-stage startups.
