About Bancor

Bancor is a decentralized finance protocol behind an automated market maker, now built around a product called Carbon DeFi, described on its own site carbondefi.xyz as an onchain trading protocol with automated limit orders and grid-style strategies; CoinMarketCap tags Bancor under AMM and DEX categories across several chains.

The project runs three Telegram surfaces confirmed on CoinMarketCap: the channel "Bancor News" (@BancorNews), with about 660 subscribers as of 26.09.2026; the verified group "Bancor Protocol" (@bancor), with about 3,700 participants; and the older group "CarbonDeFi.xyz" (@CarbonDeFixyz), with about 740 members. Bancor News posts cover product updates such as the Carbon DeFi trading tool becoming available on new chains, and one post announced that this older Carbon DeFi group would close in favor of the Bancor Protocol group.

All three handles are chats the project lists on CoinMarketCap; the news channel names itself as Bancor's official announcements, the protocol group carries Telegram's verification checkmark, and the older group's own description still names the Bancor DAO. Because Bancor announced in mid-2026 that this last group would close, treat the verified @bancor group as the safer long-term destination.
