TON (The Open Network) is a Layer 1 blockchain originally developed by Telegram and now maintained by the open-source community, built to integrate directly with the Telegram messenger. Following a community vote, the native token has been renamed from Toncoin (TON) to Gram (GRAM); CoinMarketCap still lists the project under its original Toncoin Ecosystem and Layer 1 tags, added on 26 August 2021.

The confirmed official channel is "Gram of TON" (@toncoin), with about 6,625,459 subscribers on 26.09.2026; CoinMarketCap separately lists an announcement handle, @gram, showing the same channel and subscriber count. Recent posts explain the rename vote and its 81.22% approval.
